This 3-stage water refiner offers the highest quality water treatment that seamlessly removes ions that cause water to be hard (usually calcium and magnesium ions). This system is designed to address various water quality issues right at the source, ensuring that every faucet in your home delivers cleaner, fresher water. By treating the water as it enters your home, a whole house filter ensures that all the water you use for drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning is free from unwanted impurities. This comprehensive approach not only improves the taste and smell of your water but also provides health benefits and extends the life of your plumbing and appliances.
This industry-leading reverse osmosis system produces up to 75 gallons of clean drinking water each day. The Micromax 7000 seamlessly removes ions that cause water to be hard. (usually calcium and magnesium ions)
This system effectively removes contaminants that cause bitter-tasting water and chlorine odors, making your water more pleasant to drink and use.
A water softener works through a process called ion exchange. Here's how it breaks down:
1. Hard Water Enters: Hard water, which contains calcium and magnesium ions, enters the water softener unit.
2. Resin Beads: Inside the unit, there are resin beads that are coated with sodium or potassium ions. These beads have a negative charge, which attracts the positively charged calcium and magnesium ions in the hard water.
3. Ion Exchange: As the hard water flows through the resin beads, the calcium and magnesium ions are swapped out for sodium or potassium ions. This exchange effectively removes the hardness-causing minerals from the water.
4. Soft Water Exits: The now softened water, free of calcium and magnesium, exits the water softener and flows into your home’s plumbing system.
5. Regeneration Cycle: Over time, the resin beads become saturated with calcium and magnesium ions and need to be recharged. The water softener enters a regeneration cycle where a brine solution (saltwater) flushes through the resin beads, replacing the calcium and magnesium ions with sodium or potassium ions again. The excess minerals are then flushed out of the system and down the drain.
This cycle of ion exchange and regeneration ensures that your water remains soft and free of the minerals that cause hardness.
