The water you reach for most

Small footprint.
Daily purpose.

Reverse osmosis uses a membrane to reduce dissolved substances according to the system’s documented performance. Prefilters and finishing filters serve different roles around that membrane.

The featured Puronics Micromax 7000 is an under-sink drinking-water system with a storage tank and dedicated faucet. It operates on household water pressure, without an electrical connection.

Your countertop stays clear, and treated water is available where you prepare food and fill your glass. Under-sink space, pressure, and drain access need to be checked before installation.

Understand the treatment path

From supply to sipping.

A simplified view of how an RO drinking-water system works.

01

Prepare the water.

Prefiltration addresses particles and chlorine-related taste and odor, helping prepare water for membrane treatment.

02

Pass the membrane.

Water pressure moves water through a membrane. A separate stream carries concentrated rejected substances to the drain.

03

Store and finish.

Treated water is held in a storage tank and receives finishing filtration on its way to the dedicated faucet.

Good questions. Clear answers.

Drinking-water questions.

Still wondering about your water?

Ask Paramount →
Does reverse osmosis treat every tap?

The featured under-sink system treats water at its dedicated drinking-water faucet. Whole-house treatment connects at the main supply and serves a different purpose.

Does RO use water during treatment?

Yes. An RO system produces treated water and a separate reject stream that goes to a drain. Ask about the specific model’s recovery efficiency and operating requirements.

How often do filters need replacing?

Follow the model’s maintenance instructions. Water quality and usage affect filter life. Ask Paramount for replacement filters and the care schedule for your installed system.

Will this system remove a specific contaminant?

Check the exact model’s current certification listing, performance data sheet, and operating conditions. A system’s ability to reduce a substance does not mean that substance is present in your water.

Can I connect it to my refrigerator?

That depends on distance, pressure requirements, and refrigerator compatibility. Discuss your appliance and plumbing layout before adding a connection.
